Emails between Fox stars, Trump Treasury department show close ties

Treasury Department emails reveal what appears to be close links between it and Fox’s two cable channels.
The emails were obtained by non-profit group Democracy Forward via a freedom of information act request and then provided to The Hollywood Reporter.
While many of the 270 pages of emails show typical correspondence between a TV network and government department — such as scheduling interviews with key officials, others seem to indicate another level of close ties.
For instance, an April 2017 email from Fox Business host David Asman appears to advise then-Treasury secretary Tony Sayegh on how to achieve tax cuts.
Sayegh himself is a former Fox contributor.
Sayegh was also part of an exchange where Fox radio personality Jon Decker invited him to a party as his guest.
Sayegh declined, citing other plans.
