CNN has brought actress Eva Longoria on board to helm a six part documentary for its upcoming streaming service.

Longoria, who is perhaps best known for her work on “Desperate Housewives,” will host “Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico.”

The series is based on the CNN original series “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.”

Tucci will executive produce the Longoria series along with Longoria and Ben Spector.

Meanwhile, a second season of “Searching for Italy” has been ordered with a spring 2022 debut expected.

“Searching for Mexico” will only appear on CNN+, the streaming service the network is set to launch in 2022.

“Search for Italy,” and therefore “Searching for Mexico” are both focused on the food and culture of a country and were inspired by the popular CNN series “Parts Unknown” hosted by the late Anthony Bourdain.

Old episodes of “Parts Unknown” is still available on digital platforms and reports say it may move to CNN+ exclusively come 2022.
