Just weeks after leaving Vice President Kamala Harris’ staff, Symone Sanders is joining MSNBC as a weekend and streaming host.

Sanders, who served as Harris’ spokesperson, will host a weekend show on MSNBC as well as a program on Peacock’sThe Choice by MSNBC” streaming channel.

The premiere dates, show titles and further details will be announced in the coming weeks, but the shows are expected to debut later this spring, according to the network’s announcement.

Originally known as simply “The Choice” (and still commonly referred to as such), the channel started back in the fall of 2020 as a test ground of sorts for MSNBC produced streaming content.

It is distinct from NBC News Now, a standalone streaming service run by NBC News, that is also available as a “channel” on Peacock.

Like MSNBC, “The Choice” tends to feature more progressive programming and hosts, whereas NBC News Now features more traditional newscasts and rolling coverage throughout the day.
