Fox’s right leaning cable network, already facing billions in lawsuits from voting systems companies, had to insert a disclaimer during its live coverage of the American Conservative Union’s annual CPAC conference when star guest Donald Trump continues to make assertions about fraud at the hands of the machines July 11, 2021.

“The voting system companies have denied the various allegations made by President Trump and his counsel regarding the 2020 election,” the banner read.

Fox is facing at least two major lawsuits brought by Dominion Voter Systems and Smartmatic after numerous Fox personalities have perpetuated the lie that the company’s voting machines somehow helped throw the election to President Joe Biden. OAN is facing similar legal problems.

Since then, both networks have been more cautious about discussing the claims on air, with hosts often cutting off guests or analysts who make such suggestions or interjecting with disclaimers.
