Fox’s Abby Huntsman to leave network for ‘The View’

“Fox & Friends Weekend” host Abby Huntsman is department the cable channel for ABC News’ “The View,” Mediaite reports.

• Hunstman will replace Sara Haines, who is leaving “The View” to host “GMA Day” with Michael Strahan.
• Fox News confirmed Huntsman’s exit, indicating the weekend of Aug. 11, 2018 will be her last days on “Fox & Friends.”
• “GMA Day” will replace “The Chew” and is a third hour of the “Good Morning America” franchise.
• Hunstman is the daughter of U.S. Ambassador to Russia Jon Hunstman.
• The younger Huntsman will join Meghan McCain as one of more conservative voices on “The View.”
• McCain is the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate and Sen. John McCain.
• “The View” earlier announced the exit of Paula Faris, who would also give up her weekend “GMA” duties to focus on other projects for the network.
