BBC News has announced it will be shifting to a “simplified” schedule amid the coronavirus outbreak, according to a tweet from BuzzFeed UK reporter Joey D’Urso.

The network move “Newsnight” and the “Andrew Marr Show” into the “News at 10” studio and used a “simplified” format.

The network’s U.K. and World channels will share news bulletins on weekends and select parts of weekdays.

Finally, many of the network’s non-English language services will produced “simplified output.”

The changes are likely part of an overall effort, being used at many broadcasters around the world, to reduce the need for staff in the newsroom and studios as well as to simplify workflows for those working from home.
