With CBS airing the Super Bowl this year, the network’s news division is following suit with extended coverage throughout the week leading up to the game.
- “CBS Evening News” will feature coverage from Atlanta, including a focus on the security surrounding the game, how the city is preparing for the crowds and a story about a Make-A-Wish Foundation effort to make a boy’s Super Bowl dream come true.
- The network’s Sunday morning political affairs show “Face the Nation” will originate from the NFL Experience in Atlanta on Super Bowl Sunday.
- “CBS This Morning” is also planning extended coverage of the game, including a look at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
- The network’s streaming news service CBSN will also offer extended preview coverage.
