How Hulu stole Netflix’s ‘fyre’

Hulu released a surprise documentary on the ill-fated Fyre Festival — beating out rival Netflix’s previously announced doc on the same topic.
- Hulu’s documentary is titled “Fyre Fraud.”
- Netflix, meanwhile, has been promoting the simply named “Fyre.”
- Both films document the downward spiral of the Fyre Festival, a 2017 musical festival in the Bahamas that was promoted as a luxury event but ended up with attendees in tents eating food scraped together at the last minute — and without much of the promised entertainment.
Hulu surprise dropping its Fyre Fest documentary today, mere days before Netflix was set to drop its own, is the level of aggressive pettiness I'm here for pic.twitter.com/hROF7C6HqV
