Almost the entire Monday, March 25, 2019, edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” was shot using Samsung’s new Galaxy 10S+ smart phone as part of a cross promotional deal between NBC and the device manufacturer.
- The show was not a regular in-studio episode — instead it was pre-taped edition with Fallon traveling to some of his favorite spots in New York City.
- The episode was carefully timed by Samsung to come the day after Apple announced its new TV+, News+ and Arcade offerings.
- Samsung also partnered with ABC to have two of its on air talent appear in a thinly veiled promo.
