John Dickerson officially joins ‘CBS This Morning’

“CBS This Morning” officially welcomed John Dickerson to its anchor desk this morning.
- Dickerson, who has served as moderator of CBS’s Sunday morning political show since 2015, officially joined the “CBS This Morning” team Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018
- Dickerson takes the place of Charlie Rose, who was fired in late 2017 over sexual harassment accusations
- In welcoming Dickerson, co-hosts Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell pointed out a photo of Dickerson’s mother, Nancy, who was a pioneering television journalist, that is part of the set’s historical decorative items
- Dickerson will leave “Face the Nation,” with CBS expected to name a new host in the coming weeks
