Groovy outfit, Ms. Jarrett. Former Chicago and Obama administration official Valerie Jarrett appeared on “CBS This Morning” ahead of Super Tuesday — and many people thought she was a dead ringer for Austin Powers.
Not only was her outfit a near match to what actor Mike Myers wore in some scenes of the Austin Powers franchise, but her glasses and hairstyle were pretty close as well.
Austin Powers first appeared in the 1997 film “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery” that was followed by two sequels.
The films were a comedic take on James Bond and other spy films and known for their running gags and over the top fashion.
"I think that whoever emerges tonight… what I would do is break with conventional wisdom and announce a running mate that’s a woman of color… certainly before the next primary. Woman, person of color, someone who reflects the diversity of our party." – @ValerieJarrett pic.twitter.com/xYj4K5gobR
