Leslie Jones linked to ‘Supermarket Sweep’ reboot
After announcing her exit from “Saturday Night Live,” Leslie Jones is apparently going to be busy in the grocery store — the “Supermarket Sweep” one that is.
- Deadline is reporting that Jones is set to executive producer and host a reboot of the classic “Supermarket Sweep” game show.
- The show doesn’t have a home yet, but is reportedly garnering interest from ABC, NBC, Fox and Netflix.
- ABC might be a good home for it — with its “Fun & Games” block of modernized versions of old game shows including “The $100,000 Pyramid,” “To Tell the Truth” and “Match Game.”
- That said, Jones may still have some allegiance to the peacock, but she also has a deal with Netflix for a 2020 standup special.
