Longtime New Orleans journalist killed in plane crash

Nancy Parker, a reporter and anchor at WVUE in New Orleans, was killed in a plane crash while on assignment Friday, Aug. 16, 2019.
Parker was riding in a stunt plane used as part of a tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen when the accident occurred.
Franklin J.P. Augustus, the pilot and subject of Parker’s story, was also killed.
Parker had been par of the WVUE news team for 23 years.
She is survived by a husband and three children.
The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.
