Many Fox affiliates pass on airing impeachment hearing coverage

Fox (the broadcasting network and not the cable channel) offered live coverage of the impeachment hearings to its affiliates — but not all of them took the network up on the offer.
- In Chicago (the third biggest broadcast market int he country) the network’s owned station WFLD carried locally produced coverage under its “Good Day Chicago” banner.
- Reports from other major and minor markets indicated some stations carried Fox’s feed, hosted by Harris Faulkner, but most stuck with their normal lineups.
- Some affiliates, both owned by Fox or other companies, directed users to their website or social media for live streams.
- Fox’s cable channel did offer live coverage during a special edition of its “America’s Newsroom” show.
