NBC News‘ “Today with Hoda and Jenna” is apparently experiencing high demand for studio audience tickets for its Thursday and Friday editions — and has added tapings to its schedule.

The network announced that it is opening more tapings, including Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 at 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. as well as the same schedule for Thursday, March 5.

Within 48 hours of the dates being announced, one taping “sold out” (the tickets are actually free).

Wednesday shows normally aren’t produced in Studio 6A, but it appears NBC may be using the studio audience format for another day of that week.

It also appears an extra show will be taped that day at 8:45 since normally the main hour of “Today” is still on at that time.

NBC also appears to be taping an extra show March 5. These episodes may be used in the future when Kotb or Hager are out or when the show isn’t live.

This will likely cause Kotb to miss at least part of the main “Today” show those days to give her time to head up to Studio 6A.

NBC News did not return a request for comment on the taping schedule.
