NBC hires MTV host for Snapchat newscast

NBC News has hired Lawrence Jackson as the newest co-host of Stay Tuned, the twice-daily news show on Snapchat:

• Lawrence joins NBC News from MTV’s TRL, where he was a host and correspondent
• He has also worked as a host for Revolt TV, the music cable network launched by Sean “Diddy” Combs
• Lawrence will primarily host Stay Tuned on the weekends
• Savannah Sellers and Gadi Schwartz remain co-hosts of Stay Tuned during the week, but made an appearance on Monday’s episode
• Stay Tuned sees more than 25 million unique monthly viewers, with 75% of them under the age of 25
• The show first launched in July 2017 and is currently available exclusively on Snapchat
