A New York Times reporter jokingly tweeted that he believes local morning news anchors “are actually extraterrestrials.”
“I just do not understand how local news anchors summon the relentless energy needed to carry early morning newscasts. Even if you are a mythical ‘morning person,’ this level of pep is inhuman…” Sopan Deb tweeted.
“Like, it’s 5 AM. Pace yourself. There’s like 20 hours before the afternoon. Don’t let it all out at once,” he added in a follow up tweet.
Prior to joining The New York Times, Deb worked for CBS News.
I just do not understand how local news anchors summon the relentless energy needed to carry early morning newscasts. Even if you are a mythical “morning person,” this level of pep is inhuman, leading to my theory that all morning news anchors are actually extraterrestrials.
