Ronan Farrow’s book is bested by John Grisham, Elton John and Hoda Kotb titles
Ronan Farrow’s “Catch and Kill” sold 44,000 print copies in the U.S. in its first week, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
- That puts the title at fourth in titles published last week according to NPD BookScan data — with John Grisham’s “The Guardians” coming in first at 97,000 copies.
- Elton John’s autobiography sold 71,000 copies.
- Farrow’s former NBC colleague Hoda Kotb’s “I Really Need This Today” outsold him at 55,000 copies.
- For the record, Michelle Obama’s “Becoming” holds the all time record for first week sales at 713,000 copies.
- “Catch and Kill” is second place on The New York Times best-sellers list in data that combines print and e-book nonfiction sales.
- It’s also Number 6 on Amazon’s sales chart.
