Savannah Guthrie needs more eye surgery once coronavirus outbreak is done

NBC “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie will have to undergo more surgery to repair a torn retina from November.
Guthrie tore the part of her eye while playing with her son and a toy scratched her eye.
Guthrie first underwent the less evasive laser procedure but doctors weren’t satisfied to went forward with full surgery.
She had to spend hours of time with her face down to avoid further damage to her eye and was off the show during her recovery.
Now, more procedures are needed — but those are on hold as most hospital suspend “elective” procedures during the coronavirus pandemic.
