Ellis Palmer a journalist who lives with a disability and uses a wheelchair was able to join the BBC thanks to its “BBC Extend in the News” program.
As a disabled person who went to a Merseyside comprehensive school, I’d have never imagined working at @BBCNews when I was growing up.
But the BBC’s @InExtend scheme gave me an amazing opportunity to get started as a journalist.
