CNN White House correspondent Maegan Vazquez noticed that the lectern in the White House press briefing room has sat unused for so long it’s literally gathering dust.
- Vazquez tweeted a photo of the very visible layer of dust gathering around the microphones and built in video screen.
- The White House is now approaching 60 days since its last press briefing.
- The lectern’s last high profile use was April 24, 2019, when a “fake” press conference was held for the children of White House reporters and staffers on “Bring Your Kids to Work Day.”
The White House hasn’t held press briefing in so long that the lectern in the briefing room is quite literally gathering dust.
