Trump tries to start rumor that Jeff Zucker will resign — and CNN PR exec laughs back

After Donald Trump wondered aloud on Twitter if CNN chief Jeff Zucker would resign in light of Project Veritas‘ targeting of the network, at least one member of the network’s PR team responded.
- Trump was responding to video released by Veritas that shows hidden camera recordings of Zucker telling staffers to focus coverage on impeachment proceedings.
- Veritas claims it’s a message of bias at the network — while others view it as simply an editorial direction.
- Other Veritas claims have been discredited.
- Meanwhile, CNN’s vice president of communications, Matt Dornic, had an exactly three letter response to Trump — “lol.”
- The tweet was posted on Dornic’s personal account that does carry the typical “opinions & thoughts are mine” disclaimer and directs users to CNN PR’s account for official statements.
lol
