With a price and launch date in place for HBO Max what you actually get with the new streaming service from AT&T?
- Most of HBO’s existing library, including its original series, will be available, including a rotating selection of major film releases.
- HBO gets many film titles before they are available elsewhere.
- This includes “The Sopranos,” “The Wire,” “Veep” and “Game of Thrones.”
- It also includes new and archive episodes of “Sesame Street.” HBO gets original episodes to the PBS kid’s show first.
- It will also include the entire “South Park” library as well as “The Big Bang Theory,” “South Park” and “The West Wing.”
- Drawing on its corporate cousin WarnerMedia, the service will also bring in content from TBS, TNT, TruTV, CNN and Adult Swim, plus Warner Bros.
- In addition, HBO Max plans to add 50 original series by 2021, including a “Gossip Girl” reboot, “Ellen’s Home Design Challenge” from Ellen DeGeneres.
