Why Kate Snow didn’t anchoring ‘NBC Nightly News’ Sunday

NBC News correspondent and anchor Kate Snow was off her normal Sunday night anchor gig on “NBC Nightly News” Sunday, April 5, 2020 because her husband has coronavirus symptoms.
In an article posted on NBC News’ website, Snow said her husband, Chris Bro, began showing coronavirus symptoms Thursday, April 2, 2020.
That, in turn, was why she didn’t anchor “Nightly” April 5. Instead, White Hose correspondent and Saturday “Today” co-anchor Peter Alexander anchored from the networks’ Washington, D.C. bureau.
Normally Snow anchors from NBC News headquarters in New York City.
Bro has moved to the basement of their home — which has its own bathroom and sleeping area.
Snow is bringing him food and even interviewed him about his symptoms through a closed door.
She’s also self isolating since she was in contact with him.
So you won’t see me anchor @NBCNightlyNews tonight. My husband @chrisbronext is sick with coronavirus. My kids and I are healthy. Chris is strong and we’re hopeful he’ll be better soon. Please send good thoughts and prayers our way. pic.twitter.com/zVydkJNyr2
