NBC’s coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will not include someone who’s been one of the faces of the telecasts for years — Matt Lauer.
- Lauer, former co-anchor of “Today,” was fired shortly after the 2017 telecast, Nov. 29, 2017.
- Traditionally, the co-anchors of “Today” also co-host NBC’s annual telecast of the parade.
- This year, Hoda Kotb, who was officially named co-anchor of “Today” Jan. 2, 2018, will co-host beside Savannah Guthrie.
