A pro-immigration Republican group is running this ad on Fox

The Becoming American Initiative is running a pro-immigration commercial on Fox’s cable channel that regularly spews anti-immigration views.

The spot centers around a speech President Ronald Regan gave on Labor Day 1980.

As PolitiFact notes, the commercial does take some editing liberties with Reagan’s speech, removing some words while also using words out of order.

The fact check also notes that while Reagan didn’t say immigrants “made America great” verbatim, he did imply it.
