ABC News has announced details for its coverage of the third democratic debate.
The debate will be moderated by ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos, “World News Tonight” Anchor David Muir, ABC News Correspondent Linsey Davis and Univision Anchor Jorge Ramos.
The debate is scheduled for Sept. 12 and, possibly, Sept. 13, 2019 in Houston, Texas.
Coverage will air on the ABC network and its local O&O, KTRK as well as Univision (with Spanish translations) and on its ABC News Live streaming platform.
As primaries inch closer, the DNC has tightened the requirements to appear during the debate — candidates must get at least 2% or at least four national polls released between June 28 and Aug. 28.
Candidates are also required to have gotten at least 130,000 unique donors since launching their campaign, with a minimum of 400 donors from each states — with at least 20 states represented.
So far, the stricter requirements means that only 10 candidates appeared to have qualified (with verification pending) with just days to go before the poll deadline.
If more than 10 candidates do qualify, the debate will be split into two nights.
