Ali Wentworth, wife of ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos, tests positive for coronavirus
Ali Wentworth, the comedian and wife of ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos has tested positive for coronavirus.
Wentworth began exhibiting symptoms earlier in the week, causing Stephanopoulos to anchor “Good Morning America” from home starting March 31, 2020 — and he is continuing to do so.
She is now self quarantining in a single room in the New York City home she shares with her husband and their two daughters and shared a video about what the illness feels like with “GMA.”
Wentworth made her television debut on “In Living Color” in 1992. She also made “correspondent” appearances on both “The Tonight Show” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and had a guest spot on the iconic “Soup Nazi” episode of “Seinfeld.”
She’s also hosted “Daily Shot” for Yahoo! and starred in “Nightcap” — a Pop original series she created that follows the behind the scenes antics of a late night TV show.
