CBS News correspondent Lee Cowan anchored the network’s venerable “Sunday Morning” March 22, 2020, show from Los Angeles, but was quick to point out that normal host Jane Pauley is “fine.”
With the CBS Broadcast Center in New York mostly closed due to coronavirus worries, the network has spread out operations across the country, including using its Los Angeles and Dallas facilities.
The previous Sunday, March 15, the broadcast was unable to produce a new edition and instead opted to rerun portions of its 40th anniversary special.
That show, however, did feature a new open with Pauley taped in Studio 45 in New York.
While Pauley did not appear on March 22’s edition, Cowan did note in his open that she is doing well.
Cowan also acknowledged that program was being produced mostly remotely.
