HBO Max gets ‘Big Bang Theory’

HBO Max is hoping to get started with a “big bang” — “The Big Bang Theory” — that is.

• The hit CBS show just wrapped up its final season in May 2019.
• Now, all episodes of the show will be available on WarnerMedia’s HBO Max streaming service when it launches in 2020.
• Despite originally airing on CBS, the show was both produced and distribution by Warner Bros., meaning WarnerMedia ultimately had a big say in where the show would stream — so it’s no surprise it ended up on its own service.
• At the same time, WarnerMedia’s TBS also extended its deal to air reruns on the show on its cable network through 2028.
