ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel offered up some of his own “theories” about how the Fox News Christmas Tree caught on fire.
“The fire is believed to have started after Fox News’ pants caught on fire,” Kimmel joked on the Dec. 8, 2021 edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
“The fire is believed to have started because judge Jeanine Pirro ate one too many rum balls and breathed on a cigarette,” he continued joking.
Kimmel also poked fun on the fact that the tree was “fake” — in that it was really a metal support structure with a facade of greenery — “The same way Tucker Carlson is a hollow structure that sort of resembles a human,” joked Kimmel.
His final zinger: “… this never would have happened if the tree had had a gun.”
No one was injured in the blaze, which was put out by firefighters. Fox is pledging to rebuild the tree.
