“Good Morning America” co-anchor Michael Strahan’s absence from the ABC morning show has continued into a third week, though at least one source says he’ll be back “soon.”
Strahan was last on “GMA” Oct. 26, 2023.
Fans began noticing his absence from the show and asking about his status with the network. In early November 2023, ABC announced that he was taking time off to deal with a personal family issue and that he would be off “GMA” through at least Nov. 10, 2023.
That date has now come and gone and Strahan has not appeared on “GMA” Nov. 13, 2023, or Nov. 14, 2023.
Co-anchor Robin Roberts, who was on-set Nov. 13 but not Nov. 14, said on her social media that she expects Strahan to return to the show soon, but did not provide specifics.
Meanwhile, Strahan did appear on Nov. 12, 2023’s “Fox NFL Sunday,” where he has a separate job as a commentator.
He was not, however, back to “GMA” the next morning.
It’s not surprising that he would appear on “NFL Sunday” but not “GMA” given that the Fox show is a weekly broadcast and does not involve working the early morning shift. Strahan did not mention his “GMA” absences on Sunday, though that’s not unexpected given that the two shows air on competing networks.
