MSNBC is trumpeting another big ratings win

Nielsen data shows that MSNBC beat Fox News and CNN in several key ratings point, continuing a trend that started in December.
- For the month of January 2019, “The Rachel Maddow” show beat Fox News’ “Hannity” in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demo — for the second month in a row.
- In addition, the MSNBC primetime schedule from 9 p.m. to midnight eastern were number one in both total viewers and the demo.
- “Deadline: White House” at 4 p.m. also won total viewership and the demo for the second month in a row.
- “Hardball” at 7 p.m. beat “The Story with Martha MacCallum” for the first time ever in total viewers.
- Every MSNBC show from 5 a.m. to midnight beat CNN in total viewers.
- MSNBC “Total Day”(Monday to Sunday 6 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and “Dayside” (Monday to Friday a.m. to 5 p.m) ranked number two across all of cable in total viewers.
