NBC orders holiday specials from Ellen DeGeneres

NBC has ordered three hourlong holiday specials featuring Ellen DeGeneres.

• “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” will air during the holiday season later this year.
• The specials will showcase DeGeneres and celebrity guests giving away gifts to audience members and other people.
• DeGeneres, Mary Connelly, Ed Glavin, Andy Lassner, Kevin A. Leman II, Derek Westervelt and Jeff Kleeman will serve as executive producers.
• The specials will be produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, A Very Good Production and Telepictures.
• DeGeneres also has worked on “Ellen’s Game of Games” for NBC.
• Her syndicated talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” features much of the same production team.
