Netflix’s official Twitter account reported that streaming was down about 32 percent during the 2019 Super Bowl compared to normal Sunday usage.
- The company’s Twitter account also wrote that “everyone who normally helps run this page is busy watching the game.”
- So the “person” left in charge of the account just started tweeting animated GIFs from the “Our Planet” series.
- The animal themed tweets were notably similar to the approach Animal Planet takes with the “Puppy Bowl” and Hallmark Channel’s “Kitten Bowl.“
so apparently this Super Bowl thing is kind of a big deal … looks like Netflix viewing in the US is down about 32% compared to a normal Sunday
