Savannah Guthrie came to work at ‘Today’ with her dress on backward

NBC News‘ “Today” started out just like any other day the morning of Jan. 30, 2020 — with that familiar fanfare and the announcer saying “From NBC News, this is ‘Today’ with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.”
However, it turns out Guthrie probably should have had her named spelled backward — as “Hannavas” — today.
At the top of the show, co-anchor Hoda Kotb pointed out that Guthrie was wearing her dress backward.
The “wardrobe malfunction” apparently wasn’t discovered until shortly before air when it was too late to have Guthrie change or flip it around.
Guthrie commented that she hoped she wouldn’t choke because the collar was so high. “Then we’d have another news story” she said before Kotb transitioned to coronavirus coverage.
