Chicago weekend anchor leaving in June

Chicago weekend morning anchor Stacey Baca is hanging up her mic and IFB for now.
Baca has been with ABC-owned WLS for about 20 years and also reports for the station.
Her last day on the job will be June 26, 2022.
Baca, 53, called the decision a difficult one plans to take advantage of not working to spend more time with her husband, who is a retired naval aviator.
There is no immediately word who will replace her on weekend editions of “ABC 7 Eyewitness News” alongside Mark Rivera.
Baca did note to Robert Feder that leaving might be a “gap year” or it could be permanent.
Though Baca did not confirm any future plans, a one-year timeout is a common amount of time that talent, particularly anchors, at TV stations must wait out before appearing on another station in the market.
