Surprise guests pop up on Chicago ‘CBS Evening News’ tease

Viewers in Chicago got to meet “CBS Evening News” anchor Jeff Glor’s kids.

  • Glor was on set in Studio 57 in New York doing a live hit with Chicago O&O WBBM on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018.
  • When CBS 2 News anchors Irika Sargent and Rob Johnson turned to the live feed of Glor on one of studio’s video walls.
  • That’s when it became obvious Glor’s kids, Victoria and Jack, were on set with him.

  • During the intro a “CBS Evening News” graphic was covering Victoria’s face.
  • Glor then proceeded to juggling reading the tease for that evening’s broadcast off-screen.
  • When he came back on camera, the lower third graphic was gone — allowing Victoria to make her on-camera debut.
