“Game of Thrones” fans angry about how the eighth and final season of the HBO show managed to get the series creators to appear near the top of Google search results for “bad writers.”
Searching for the phrase triggered, in most results, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to appear near the top of the results.
Since the story broke, however, the searches for the phrase now tend to be dominated by news articles about the apparent search engine manipulation.
Some fans, upset about how the final season played out, have petitioned HBO to remake the last season.
