Washington Post to Bernie Sanders: We don’t cover your differently because of your statements about Amazon

After Sen. Bernie Sanders suggested that there’s a link between how The Washington Post covers him and his attacks on Amazon, which is owned by Post owner Jeff Bezos, the newspaper has responded.
Executive editor Marty Baron called the accusation a “conspiracy theory.”
Sanders frequently targets Amazon because it rakes in serious profits but pays no federal taxes on that money, just like many other U.S. corporations.
Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, owns The Washington Post through a privately held company called Nash Holdings.
The Post isn’t connected to the publicly traded Amazon other than through Bezos.
