Mike Pence appeared to offer his condolences to an NBC News reporter for the loss of a colleague to coronavirus as he was leaving the White House briefing room March 21, 2020.
Kelly O’Donnell, a correspondent who covers Capitol Hill and the White House for the network, tweeted that Pence said “Sorry for your loss” to her, apparently referencing Larry Edgeworth, who died from the disease.
“On behalf of NBC and Larry’s family, I said thank you in return,” she tweeted.
“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt also paid tribute to Edgeworth Friday, March 20, 2020.
