Trinity Broadcasting Network has announced plans to add a new program featuring two former Fox staffers in key roles, Axios was first to report.

“Centerpoint” will be hosted by former Fox Washington correspondent Doug McKelway. Behind the scenes, Michael Clemente, a former Newsmax CEO and Fox executive vice president will produce.

Clemente says the show will be free of political bias, but rather “lean into Christian values.”

Plans call for the show to air daily at 7:30 p.m. eastern with a repeat at 10:30 p.m. eastern geared toward Pacific time viewers who can watch at 7:30 p.m. local time.

That timeslot will pit it against the second half of “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox, MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” “Stinchfield” on Newsmax and “On Balance” with former Fox personality Leland Vittert on NewsNation.

Fox, Newsmax and NewsNation have all been accused of having a conservative slant, including taking positions that would fit into the “Christian values” category. MSNBC, meanwhile, tends to lean more left, especially in its analysis and perspective programming.

It will also run up against access hour programming such as syndicated game shows in many markets and network primetime programming in others.

TBN is in the middle of shifting to becoming a lifestyle brand rather than just “preaching and teaching,” according to Axios’ interview with its marketing VP.

The network is looking to expand its editorial staff and add more programming in the future, including adding daytime offerings.

TBN has aired a show hosted by conservative former governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee since 2017, which skews right into the “Some reliability issues and/or extremism” rating on the Ad Fontes Media Bias Chart.
