After taking its flagship Twitter account silent Nov. 8, 2018, Fox’s conservative cable channel returned to the platform amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The network sent a tweet at 3 p.m. eastern March 18, 2020, the first one sent from @FoxNews in over a year (496 days to be exact) encouraging people to tune in to its non-gated streaming coverage of coronavirus.
The account has since continued to post coronavirus news on the main account.
While @FoxNews has been silent for over a year, the show’s personalities and individual show accounts have mostly remained active.
Fox stopped tweeting from its main account after reportedly being frustrated over Twitter’s slow reaction to remove host Tucker Carlson’s home address from tweets posted back in 2018.
