BBC to cut 450 jobs as it ‘modernizes’ its newsroom

The BBC will cut about 450 jobs as the organization adds modernization to its newsroom.

BBC News currently employees approximately 6,000 people across the world. About 1,700 of those are outside the United Kingdom.

The goal for the public service broadcaster is to save $105 million U.S. in costs.
