NewsNation” will air live from 8 to 11 p.m. eastern time on the cable channel WGN America seven nights a week starting Sept. 1, 2020.

The channel is available from many cable and satellite providers, including Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, DirecTV and Dish.

It’s important to note that WGN America is a separate offering than the local station WGN in Chicago.

While Chicagoland viewers can view WGN’s local newscasts over the air, on cable or satellite, this channel will not carry “NewsNation” — although, like all of Nexstar Media Group’s 100 plus newsrooms, it is expected to contribute content to the program.

Chicago viewers should be sure they are tuned to WGN America, not WGN, to see the show.

Likewise, while “NewsNation,” WGN America and WGN are all owned by Nexstar, which also operates local stations in numerous markets across the U.S., local Nexstar owned stations will not air “NewsNation” on their feeds.

Apart from the primetime newscast, WGN America plans to offer updates and content 24 hours a day on its website and mobile apps.
