During Jan. 19, 2020’s “NBC Nightly News,” anchor Lester Holt briefly mentioned that NBCUniversal is working on a “Plan Your Vaccine” effort.
If the on-screen logotype is any indication, the effort will be a “spin off” of sorts of NBC News Digital’s “Plan Your Vote” this past fall.
During this effort, viewers were encouraged to visit PlanYourVote.com for a digital guide to state by state guidelines on how the rules and regulations around voting during a pandemic — such as what absentee, mail in and early voting options were available.
Using the same ultra bold typography, the lower third below Holt told viewers to scan the QR code appearing on screen or visit PlanYourVaccine.com.
As of Jan. 20, 2021, that page is just a sign up form to be notified when the information is released.
The service will presumably include local and regional information about how and when U.S. residents will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, which is being offered in layers of phases, prioritizing those at risk first.
Public WHOIS records indicate the domain PlanYourVaccine.com has been registered since Dec. 22, 2020 and is held under the name of Arts & Letters Creative, the agency that created the Plan Your Vote campaign for NBC.
