TechSmith offering free use for businesses, educational institutions for remote work, learning

Software company TechSmith is offering free usage and expanded toolsets to companies, organizations and academic institutions who are shifting to remote work or teaching due to COVID-19.

The company’s screen capture and recording tool Snagit will be provided free to approved organizations through June 30, 2020.

The tool is ideal for creating interactive and video training content, tutorials, lessons and step-by-step instructions as well as recording meetings an presentations, including ones conducted remotely.

TechSmith’s Video Review will be provided for free to organizations. This offering includes tools that can help organizations replace face to face meeting with online reviews of recorded presentations. It offers tools for asynchronous collaboration and conversations as well as video markup and annotation tools.

Existing Video Review customers will have threshold limits removed and be able to use the service without any additional fees during the period. This change will take place automatically.

TechSmith’s Relay service will also see increase usage limits at no additional fees, with an expanded site license and wider access. Eligible relay users will be contacted by their account manager with details.
