NBC News Now to stream special on Cuba’s fight for freedom

As the world watches the recent protests in Cuba, NBC News Now and Noticias Telemundo will present “Cuba’s Fight for Freedom: Patria y Vida,” a special hosted by Noticias Telemundo and NBC News’ José Díaz-Balart, examining whether the protestors demands for change will be the start of a movement.

The special will stream on NBC News Now.

Díaz-Balart will moderate in-depth panel discussions and one-on-one interviews with those on the front lines of fight for change.

Scheduled guests include actor Laz Alonso; viral comedians Los Pichy Boys; singer, songwriter, actor and producer Jencarlos Canela; actor and director Andy Garcia; Cuban human rights activist Rosa María Payá; NBC News’ Morgan Radford; radio show host Enrique Santos; and singer Yotuel, whose song Patria y Vida has become a rallying cry for protesters.

The special is the latest in the streaming network’s growing slate of original and special programming. Recent specials have included “Can You Hear Us Now?,” “TransAmerica,” “Elevate: Success in the She-cession,” “The Racism Virus,” “Pride & Protest,” “Planet 2020,” “Are You Better Off?” and more.

To watch, tune in to NBC News Now on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, as well as on The Roku Channel, YouTube TV, YouTube, Fubo, Xumo, Pluto, Tubi, NBCNews.com and NBC News’ OTT apps on Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV at 8 p.m. eastern on Thursday, July 22.

The stream will also be available on NBC News and NBC Latino’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
